General Secretariat

The services of a metropolitan municipality are carried out by the secretary general and the deputy secretaries general on behalf of the mayor, under the mayor’s directives and responsibility, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation, the objectives and policies of the municipality, its strategic plan, and annual programs.

The office of the secretary general, within the scope of its delegated powers, is responsible for assigning the municipality’s financial authorities and responsibilities to personnel, preventing activities contrary to legislation, and establishing and overseeing the internal control system.

Branch Directorates

Health Affairs Department Directorate

The Health Affairs Department Directorate is responsible for protecting and improving public health in the city. It oversees public health inspections, services for people with disabilities, general health services, and occupational health and safety within the municipality. Through these branches, the department ensures hygiene standards, supports vulnerable groups, and promotes a safe working environment for municipal employees.

Agricultural Services Department Directorate
The Agricultural Services Department Directorate supports sustainable agriculture and animal welfare in the city.
